VRWatch
This is an OpenVR overlay that displays a wristwatch. The overlay can be set to track with either the left or right controller and displays the overlay roughly where you would usually wear a watch. There is currently a digital and an analog watch to choose from, both with a minimalistic design (check the screenshots for more info).
Disclaimer and Systems
This software is provided "as-is", without warranty of any kind.
This software was only ever tested using the Valve Index in combination with SteamVR. This also means that the installation guides for this software only describe this specific setup. If you have any other HMD / VR system I would like to hear whether this program is working for you.
Installation and Readme
At the moment there is only a portable version available. To run the overlay, download and extract the archive. You need to extract the program in a folder where you have write privilege for it to be able to write a settings file, or else it won't remember your settings. Make sure your HMD is connected and SteamVR is running, then run the VRWatch executable. When run, the overlay will launch and automatically install itself as an autostart application. This way you can enable or disable it to automatically start with SteamVR by going into the SteamVR Settings -> Startup. To uninstall just delete the folder, SteamVR will automatically notice that the overlay has been removed.

Customization
The watches themselves are compressed LZMA2 archives. You can extract (and create) them using 7zip. Inside the archive, there is a config file and all the resources needed for the watch. If you want, you could reverse engineer the two watches and modify them or create your own. The config file is kept fairly easy to understand so I don't think anyone will have a hard time understanding whats going on. I plan on documenting the procedure of creating your own watch if I ever come back to this project.
Instead of an archive you can also just create a folder in the watches directory and put the config file and all resources there. Make sure the there is no folder and .vrwatch file with the same name.
